Our team used different ways to come up with ideas for cutting down on fossil fuel use in Nigeria. One method we found really helpful was reverse brainstorming. Instead of focusing directly on solutions, we looked at what makes the problem worse. This helped us see the root causes of why fossil fuels are being used so much. For example, we realized that government subsidies for fossil fuels make them cheaper, so we thought about ways to change that.
Another useful method was SCAMPER. It got us thinking creatively by asking questions like, "What if we use this product differently?" or "What if we try the opposite of what we're doing now?" This helped us come up with fresh ideas we might not have thought of otherwise.
We also did a SWOT analysis. This helped us see the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to reducing fossil fuel use. It gave us a clear picture of what we're up against and where we can make the most impact.
In the end, using these methods together helped us think outside the box and come up with practical solutions to tackle fossil fuel use in Nigeria and in the future and to finalize this project, we will use the reverse brainstorming technique
